MARGARET HAYS

Margaret Hays has been working as a Dietitan for the past 20 years and now works as a Dietitian / Nutrition Consultant and Diabetes Educator in Perth. She sees clients in Private Practice, consults to Food and Pharmaceutical Companies, writes nutrition education material and presents Worksite Nutrition Education sessions. She has previously worked as a Community Dietitian and as a Dietitian in the Food Industry in both Australia and Asia.
Margaret is the Media Spokesperson for the Dietitians Association of Australia and as such is often called upon to speak to the media about nutrition issues. She is often quoted in the West Australian Newspaper and various magazines; she has appeared on television programs such as A Current Affair and Today Tonight and does interviews for many radio stations.
Margaret sees a wide range of clients for nutrition related issues such as Weight Management, Diabetes, Impaired Glucose Tolerance, Gestational Diabetes, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, High Cholesterol and Irritable Bowel.
Margaret has two children and enjoys playing sport. She is obsessed with food; either talking about it, reading about it or preparing, cooking and eating it!

CLEMENCY NICOLSON

Clemency completed her Dietetics degree in 1987. Since then, she has worked in the hospital, public health and private practice settings as well as teaching nutrition at Curtin University of Technology. She has also completed the Australian Institute of Sport Course, in Sports Nutrition.
She now works mostly with adults seeking to improve their health. In particular, Clemency works with clients to overcome barriers to change allowing better practical management of conditions such as Gastrointestinal Disorders, Elevated Blood Cholesterol and Blood Pressure, Diabetes and Impaired Glucose Tolerance. A particular interest of Clem’s is aiding clients to manage their gastrointestinal issues.
Clemency has two sons, now adults, so understands that individuals may not have only their own health and schedules to think of but that of others. For that reason the cornerstone of all plans are practical, sustainable changes that fit your lifestyle.

TERRI QUINLAN
Accredited Practising Dietitian
Terri graduated as a Clinical Dietitian from Curtin University in 1987, and now has over 30 years of experience in the WA health system, doing a job she is passionate about.
Terri decided early in her career to begin with rural practice, and took up a role in the Midwest and Gascoyne area of WA where she subsequently lived and worked for many years. The variety of experience Terri gained in the country regions is extensive, working as a Dietitian in hospitals, GP clinics, many remote health centres, aboriginal communities and aged care services.
In that time, too, Terri pursued further university studies and education courses. She was awarded a Masters degree in Public Health, and further education in Diabetes Education, Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery, Coeliac Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Sports Nutrition.
Terri has the broad base of knowledge and experience required in private practice, and provides individualised and specialist advice to clients with a range of nutrition issues:
T2 Diabetes, Insulin Resistance and Gestational Diabetes.
Cardiovascular Disease, High Cholesterol, High Triglycerides.
Bariatric / Weight Loss surgery
Gluten Free Diet
Irritable Bowel Disease and the Low FODMAP Diet
A Perth native, Terri , along with her husband and two daughters, pursue further education at school and University.

KIRSTIE IARIA

Kirstie has recently completed her Bachelor of Nutrition degree at Curtin University. She is now currently studying personal training to combine her love for nutrition and exercise. Kirstie enjoys the beach, playing sport and maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle with friends and family.
